My name is Lorie Rollins and I have been an art teacher in CMS for 22 years. I have spent the last 18 years of my career at Independence High School. I have always had a love of art and the uniqueness of being able to create anything you can imagine. I decided to be an art teacher when I was 20 years old. I started my schooling at Appalachian State University and transferred to UNCC my Sophomore year. I earned my BFA is Art Education and began teaching in 1993. I have never regretted being a teacher. Art has always brought me great joy and it is exciting to see that joy on the faces of my students on a daily basis.
